Step by step

How to use Compress Image

Open the Compress Image tool, drop your file into the upload area, choose any settings that match your output needs, and start the browser-side processor. For live tools, the file is read with the File API and transformed locally.

The progress bar shows each stage while the page packages your Image result. When processing completes, the download starts automatically and the green result card stays available as a fallback download link.

Because the workflow is browser-only, your original document is not sent to FluxFile servers. Refreshing or closing the tab clears the working file from memory.

Why use it

Compress Image is built for fast, no-account document work. It is useful when you need a quick Image output and do not want to upload private files to a third-party queue.

Tips

Keep files under 100MB on the free tier, use smaller page ranges for very large PDFs, and download the result before leaving the tab.

Privacy

The implementation lazy-loads client libraries after selection. File names are stored only in localStorage for the optional recent conversions list.
